This piece was extremely fragile, with a live crack up the center of the object.  It’s original mount was creating pressure that was threatening to break the piece in two.  The solution was to create a steel contour mount that supported the entire piece, providing a display that supports the objects without any hot spots, and also lets the piece expand and contract without  constriction.
